BIO
Joshua Pevnick, MD, MSHS, is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of General Internal Medicine. He has a secondary Associate Professor appointment and serves as the Co-Director of the Division of Clinical Informatics in the Department of Computational Biomedicine. Dr. Pevnick is also the Director of the Clinical Informatics Fellowship Subspecialty Training Program. Dr.Pevnick is board-certified in internal medicine and clinical informatics (inaugural class). In conjunction with his fellowship in health services research, Dr.Pevnick was awarded the HIMSS Foundation Masters Scholarship and earned a master's degree in health services from UCLA. As a health services researcher, Dr. Pevnick studies health information technology, with areas of focus including medication management, inter-physician communication, patient-generated data, health information exchange, and clinical decision support. His work has been supported by NIH, foundation, philanthropic, and industry sources. Dr. Pevnick also mentors several NIH-funded trainees and serves as the Curriculum Director for the Cedars-Sinai Clinical Scholars program and the Career Enhancement Core for the Cedars-Sinai Specialized Center of Research Excellence on Sex Differences.
